Great news for all those like me that long to look at Flash based websites or play interactive games. Adobe today announced that it is developing a Flash player that’s with the iPhone. Apple will still be in overall control of when it’s rolled out with an update or via the App Store but I can see them forcing this update on us as quickly as possible to firm up the web browser experience.
Reading this blog post however it seems that there might be a number of reasons why Apple wouldn’t want to implement a Flash player directly onto the iPhone including reasons such as the speed of the processor and the control Apple wants to maintain over how certain actions are undertaken such as watching YouTube videos.
I’m sure we won’t have to wait longer either way for more information, I predict deployment before January 2009.
