Spotted over at the Microsoft Live search blog that in the US users of Facebook have the option to not only search for friends/family/people they want to spy on, but also search the web within the Facebook site using Microsoft’s live search engine. This is all backed up by Microsoft’s adCenter technology pumping out related text adverts like Google AdSense.

This partnership sees Microsoft trying to grow its search market share but also test its ad serving product that its pitching up again AdSense. More of a win for Facebook I say in terms of giving its 100 million users better tools, but people will always just ‘Google’ something. I can’t see us ever getting away from that word, its now part of our culture : (
