Prezi zooming presentations a Powerpoint killer?

Whilst reading one of my favourite Web 2.0 blogs the other day I noticed a post about a new Internet start-up that lets you create presentations with a twist called Prezi. The online service lets you create fantastic looking presentations that can enable you when presenting to change your style and present in a non-linear way. It also lets you zoom in on bits of information when needed and stream videos.

I have managed to get myself on the beta trail and from my first experiences I’m shocked at how easy it is to use but still provides a fantastic looking presentation at the end. All presentations are stored online so you can access them anywhere in the world or even send them out.

This YouTube clip gives a better demonstration of what you can create using the service. Once I’ve finished making some presentations I’ll link to them here for you to see.

With Microsoft releasing an online only version of its Microsoft office suite later this year its obvious that online applications are the way forward. 2009 will truly be the year of cloud computing (at last). Whilst Prezi is a fantastic offering and still in beta there is a long way to go before it can compete with the Office’s of the world but it does show strong promise. If you want to create presentations on the cheap that look amazing then look no further than this. Hopefully the service will continue to remain free once it comes out of beta.

Just take a look at some of the examples they have provided, these are in all respects stunning.

You can get yourself on the beta testing list by visiting Go2Web2.0 website and getting the needed information from the bottom of the post.

I agree Philip, although Powerpoint is still great it massively needs to move with the times. People have to sit through so many presentations they want to see something different.

Aw, this was an incredibly awesome posting. In idea I’d prefer to put in writing similar to this in addition – taking time and true efforts to create a very good article… but what can I say… I procrastinate a lot and certainly not seem to get something completed.

I and also my buddies came examining the nice advice on the website and then quickly I got an awful suspicion I never expressed respect to the web site owner for those secrets. All the ladies happened to be so thrilled to study all of them and have now pretty much been tapping into these things. I appreciate you for genuinely considerably considerate and for figuring out some incredible subject matter most people are really wanting to understand about. Our honest apologies for not expressing appreciation to earlier. Take care. http://bestforexsystemblog.com.

After I initially commented I clicked the -Notify me when new feedback are added- checkbox and now every time a remark is added I get four emails with the same comment. Is there any method you’ll be able to take away me from that service? Thanks!
