So those of you that may have attempted to visit this site yesterday would have been shown the home home page of the Abernethy Bowling Club. (image below). Turns out that my site host was moving a few things around on their back end system which resulted in a DNS error meaning this website was taken completely offline for about 30 minutes.
Although this website is small and a bit of downtime does not really matter whilst the site grows you can imagine the pain this would have caused for a retailer. Just goes to show how important it is to have a full backup system in place for when things go bad. I’ll discuss the merits of backup later this year once I’ve finished the complete guide to SEO which I’m working on.
