GTA iPhoneAs I may have mentioned on here sometime ago, I use the iPhone as my main communication device. Not only does it do data, emails, documents, images, applications etc fantastically well but it also handles games on a much higher level than any other mobile device on the market.

In the past I’ve owned a PSP, Game Gear, Game boy. Compared to these devices and the face that the iPhone does so much more I can imagine a couple of years down the line the technology that powers the iPhone then will be good enough to allow users the same experience current PSP owners get, if not better.

Great news then that Grand Theft Auto type game called Payback has in my opinion pushed the boundary of mobile game design even further. Its very similar to Grand Theft Auto in every respect taking the old top-down view but with much better graphics and light rendering.

Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo must all be slightly worrying what the iPhone has the power to do over the next couple of years. Yes, many of them will have their own devices but don’t underestimate Apple and the love people have for the brand. People are converging to using one device and something that delivers on all fronts will be the eventual winner, I highly tip Apple to secure this crown.

Payback can now be picked up from the App Store for £6.99. Nice trailer below, well worth buying if you want something to push your iPhone to its limits.
