Guest post by Hendry Lee over at one of my favorite ‘How to’ blogging sites ProBlogger.net covering the growing importance of which metrics you should follow when it comes to social media among other online services. obviously social media has exploded over the last couple of years but no more and more marketers are starting to realise the importance of what social media can do in terms running advertising campaigns.
With the vast amount of social networks out there keeping yourself updated with the vast amount of statistics that you can get access to it importance that your prioritise the amount of data you consume and key it limited to a small number of key performance indicators. Yes the metrics in Hendy Lee’s guest post isn’t the most in-depth and revolutionary (it covers email and RSS metrics plus others) it still teaches you to focus on the analytics that are core to your website. This is something that I believe peoples struggle with on a daily basis, analytic programs no provide such a wealth of information that unless you are employed as a data analyst you really need to focus on the important stuff.
In my view something well worth reading if want a well rounded overview of key metrics you should follow.
