I stumbled upon this post in my draft folder, it should have been published months ago but it’s still highly relevant.
I’m finding myself being drawn towards enterprise search and information architecture increasing more these days as I work on new product developments. I’ve even gone so far as joining the Enterprise Search London group on MeetUp.com.
If you know your enterprise search providers then you’ll have heard of Endeca. They recently launched a section of their website detailing the most common implementation features of the software along with best practice implementation guidelines. Well worth checking out if you are into IA or on-site search by clicking here.
Around the same time Yahoo released a new design pattern library. It includes best practice guidelines on more than just search so is well worth also looking at.
